Valencia is a freshman at the University of North Texas studying Radio, TV and Film with a minor in Marketing. Valencia enjoys youth mentoring and motivational speaking. She is very passionate about teens having a voice in their community.
Her community involvement includes being a 2 year member of the Garland Youth Council with Mayor Ronald E. Jones, 1 year with Congressional Youth Advisory Council with Congressman Sam Johnson. She is the Teen Host for PositiveXchange TV, Youth Advocate with Mothers Against Teen Violence, member of the DFW Poetry Slam Team as well as a Red Carpet Correspondent for Out of Body Films.

She is also involved with Young Life Fair Park & Rowlett, SYNC Leadership Program of Dallas, Rowlett ROCK youth mentorship program and Dream Believe Know It Production of New Jersey.
Valencia has received a variety of recognitions and awards, winning district awards in Debate, DECA, Business Professionals of America, Youth & Government and Step Team. She is the recipient of two Garland NAACP Youth Council Image Award for her “Commitment and Dedication to Educational Excellence and Leadership in the Community”, Ribbon Winner in the Academic category of the Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future and a recent high school Honors and Texas Star graduate. All in all Valencia is a well rounded young lady who wants help the youth of today find their inner strength, voice and confidence they’ll need to achieve their goals.
She has been a guest speaker at organization such as The Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, REIGHN Womens' Conference & Retreat, Girls Living Life On Purposes and Red Pump Project for AIDS Awareness on character building, self esteem and goal setting.
