Roseann Rossetti is the Senior Director of Business
Development for American Language Technologies, Inc., a full service
translation company based in Plano, TX.
It was her previous position as the General Manager for a chain of 17
hair salons in Collin County that launched her volunteer work in the field of
HIV/AIDS.
In 2001 Roseann began her volunteer work with the Collin
County location for Health Services of North Texas which provides comprehensive
care to people infected with HIV/AIDS. Assigned
to the “Buddy Program” she was paired with HIV/AIDS clients to provide emotional and practical support through
regular calls, visits, and help with the tasks of daily living. This led her to
a position on their Board of Directors and Co-chairperson for their annual
World AIDS Day event.
Because of the
stigma still associated with HIV/AIDS, in 2007 Roseann co-founded the
non-profit organization C.U.R.E. (Community
Unity Respect Education, Inc.) and currently is President of the
organization. She has planned and
executed various events that include HIV testing, presentations to local youth
groups on HIV/AIDS education and prevention, displays of the AIDS Memorial
Quilt at corporations, schools and other local venues as well as the C.U.R.E. signature
World AIDS Day program held every year on December 1st. Most recently she was recognized with the
Woman of Unsung Courage Award presented by A Sisters Gift. Roseann is an
advocate for all people living with HIV/AIDS and the courageous family and
friends who support them.
