LaKerrie Owens, is the founder of Youth Conversion Incorporated. In 1992, she graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She has spent over 15 years working as a Criminal Justice Professional. It is through her professional experience from working with youth, juveniles, and adult offenders that she saw a need to develop an organization that not only target "at risk youth" but to give them the tools that are necessary and essential to overcome barriers to become better leaders.
She has been married for eighteen years (18) and has two sons, ages fourteen (14) and nine (9).
Growing up in the Southern Sector of Dallas, Texas and graduating from South Oak Cliff High School was truly a blessing. Overcoming the barriers and reaching back to help others is Mandatory. I am a servant for the Lord and he covers me
