RonAmber Deloney



RonAmber Deloney, known also as Flow of the New Night Babies, is a native of Dallas, Texas. Her activist work is positioned at the intersection of education and performance poetry. Her stage act is a conversation about street corners, observations on classroom dialogues and a lyrical presentation of street images.

When she is not teaching, she performs as a member of Berlin based spoken word band The New Night Babies and enjoys collaborating with other poets and musicians. The New Night Babies have released a spoken word/hip hop album entitled Of Brickwalls and Breezeways, currently available on iTunes. The second cd, Lilac and Rapeseed, is in the final stages of production. RonAmber has lived abroad in Vienna, Austria and Berlin, Germany where she completed a Fulbright research grant on the culture of slam poetry in Berlin. She has performed throughout Europe and has worked with The Last Poets, opening for the group at Jazz Café London, Poetry Festival Rome and Atomic Café in Munich, Germany.

In addition to the MA Art Politics, she holds an MS Ed. in Adolescent Education from St. Johns University and BAs in English and German from Austin College. She is currently an adjunct professor in the ESOL department at Richland College.
